All programs are driven by our philosophy that thoughtfully presented horsemanship experiences enrich lives, empower people and provide opportunities for growing joy, connection and character. We are inclusive, offering a wide variety of service to folks of all ages and abilities. We strive to eliminate barriers by providing scholarships and outreach programs.
Riding and Horsemanship Lessons
MVRU horsemanship programs build from the ground up. We teach groundwork, halter work and round pen work according to natural horsemanship principles in order to develop respectful relationships based on clarity and consistency of communication. Riding skills taught are founded on the fundamentals of classical dressage and natural horsemanship. These common threads carry through all levels and types of riding taught including English, Western, competitive and pleasure riding.
Safety First!
All programs include access to 6 impeccably trained school and private horses, high quality tack and standard rider safety equipment including helmets and boots.
