Annie B Jumping Harry. June 2008

Henry
Henry is the newest horse at Methow Valley Riding Unlimited, joining the team in May of 2008.  He is a 15.3 hand, bright chestnut Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred gelding, born in 1995.  Henry is a forward, obedient and willing ride.  His silky smooth canter and easy walk/canter transitions make him a favorite pick for folks learning to canter.  While his honesty over jumps earns admiration from those beginning to jump.  He has nary a spook in him, building confidence in those who ride and work with him.

Henry is owned and generously loaned by Gaye Pigott of Moccasin Lake Ranch.

Buttons
Buttons is a recent addition to the Methow Valley Riding Unlimited family, joining us in August 2007. Born in 1996, she is a 16 hand Percheron/Appaloosa/Thoroughbred cross. She is big and powerful, but gentle and calm. Her dressage training and even, comfortable gaits make her a pleasure to ride. She is steady and dependable over jumps and on the trails. Buttons is training to become our next vaulting horse, as well as becoming an integral part of our therapeutic and sport riding programs.

Buttons is owned by Methow Valley

Caramela
Caramela is short-coupled, light on her feet and very bright and alert. This 14.3 hand buckskin Quarter Horse was born in 1986. She is a careful and sensitive hippotherapy horse and also teaches more experienced riders to ride quietly with good body awareness. She is a trail horse extraordinaire and an athletic jumper.

Caramela is owned and generously loaned by Jim Pigott of Moccasin Lake Ranch.

Finesse
Finesse joined Methow Valley Riding Unlimited in February, 2007. Born in 1996, Finesse is a lovely black, 14.1+ hand Morgan/Quarter Horse cross. She is an intelligent mare with extensive training and quality gaits. Finesse has the athleticism and talent to challenge our most advance riders, while also being quiet and patient enough for beginners. She excels at Dressage, jumping, lunging and long-lining, making her a valuable addition to our therapeutic, educational and sport riding programs.

Finesse is owned by Methow Valley
Riding Unlimited.

Ginger
Born in 2000, this 14.1 hand, sorrel Quarter Horse is as patient and sensible as a horse can be. She came to Moccasin Lake Ranch as a four year old and quickly became a favorite because of her gentle nature and responsiveness as a saddle horse. This careful mare allows even the smallest of riders to lead, groom, and clean her hooves with confidence. Under saddle, Ginger is popular in the arena and on the trails with riders of all abilities. Started as a cutting horse, Ginger occasionally gets to show off her moves as we move cattle around the ranch.

Ginger is owned and generously loaned by Gaye Pigott of Moccasin Lake Ranch.

2007 MVRU Horse Of The Year

Ricky
Ricky, affectionately known as our “Little Lippizan”, is an accomplished dressage pony, jumper, trail horse and cow pony. He is well balanced, well trained and great on the lunge line, as well as being the smartest fellow on the ranch! Ricky was born in the late 1980’s. He is 13.3 hands tall and a flea-bitten grey Welsh/Connemara cross. He is clever enough to know when a rider needs to be challenged and experienced enough to know when to behave perfectly. Ricky has been an integral part of our therapeutic, educational and sport riding program for many years.

Ricky is owned and generously loaned by Gaye Pigott of Moccasin Lake Ranch.

Little Black
Little Black became Tulie B’s pony when she was 7 years old. Her years of attention and training have turned him into a fabulous pony in the arena, on the trails and chasing cows. Little Black was born around 1986. He is a 13.1 hand, black Welsh/Quarter Horse cross. His large personality packed into a user-friendly size draws the smaller riders to him. Black’s responsiveness and obedience under saddle quickly builds confidence in the youngest of riders, making him invaluable for all of our kids programs.

Black is owned and generously loaned by Tulie Budiselich.
